HILMI publishing is committed towards publishing original articles with high scientific quality, efficient processes for article submissions, vigorous and impartial peer review, high-quality author service, and high-level of publication ethics. Here we provide comprehensive guidelines for our Editors.
The editors are experts in their respective fields and they are highly responsible for the peer review process. They have a major role in handling the manuscripts, make decision on the acceptance or rejection of a paper and help our authors to promote their research. HILMI publishing wants to make the work easier for editors by ensuring you have the right tools in right time to promote your journal.
STEM EDUCATION INDONESIA's Editorial Board Requirement
- Must have been awarded a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in respective research area
- Minimum of 10 publication records articles and /or books in specific research field
- Must have previous reviewer and editorial contributions
- Must be proficient in English language
- Familiarize with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) ‘Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors’
Editorial Board members are selected by the journal’s editor(s). Editorial Boards generally undergo a complete revision every two or three years, with members joining, stepping down or continuing for another term. Changes also occur in the interim, for example if a member resigns.

Editorial Board Responsibility
Editorial board members are the strength of STEM EDUCATION INDONESIA as they are experts in various scientific islamic fields. Our Team assists Editorial board members in handling the editorial processes. Alike Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor Term, the editorial board members are also requested to serve for a three years term and may be reappointed or promoted to Associate Editors or Editor-in-Chief.
The Editoal Board Member responsibilities are given below:
- Attract new authors and submissions.
- Promote the journal to their colleagues and peers.
- Editorial board members may have to review 3-5 manuscripts in a year
- They may have to give suggestions to improve the journal policy and scope
- Identify topics for special issues, which they may guest edit.
- Editorial board members may be invited to submit his/her own work publication
- Assist the editor(s) in decision making over issues such as plagiarism claims and submissions where reviewers can’t agree on a decision.
